Bob Pepper was originally from Detroit, Michigan and lived in Louisiana, Japan, Hawaii, and San Francisco, California. He studied at Michigan State, University of Hawaii and University of California-Berkeley. He was the first prize winner of the John Wolp Award in the San Francisco Civic Arts Festival in 1964. He died in Sonoma, California in 2007 at the age of 80.The medium is noted as "Oil, Palette Knife". There is a note about the artist, his background education and awards on the back.
