The Bose 901 Series I is a landmark 1968 direct-reflecting loudspeaker system that uses nine full-range drivers and a required active equalizer to create a spacious concert-hall soundstage.Design and SoundDirect/Reflecting: Eight 4-inch drivers face the back wall to bounce sound, while one driver faces the room.No Series Label: The rear ID badge only says "Bose 901" without an official "Series I" text mark.
Durable Surrounds: Series I models use cloth driver surrounds instead of the foam that rots on later models.
The Active Equalizer Required Box: You must use the matching analog equalizer to correct the frequency response.
Hookup: Connect the box through a tape monitor loop or between your preamp and power amplifier.
Controls: It features sliding controls for mid-bass and mid-treble balance.

Free shipping applies only within the contiguous U.S. only except for East coast which is 100$ flat rate. Orders shipping overseas, including Hawaii and Alaska, as well as any U.S.-based islands or addresses requiring a ferry, do not qualify for free shipping. These shipments are location-dependent and billed at cost.
