Braun CEV 520 by Dieter Rams for repair or parts. This is a beautiful example of the classic and collectable CEV 520 Receiver / Amplifier designed by Dieter Rams in the early 1970's. Comes with european plugs for power and speakers. Featuring 2 x 50W power with FM, MW, LW and SW receiver. Plus Phono / Aux inputs for CD player and even streaming amplification. Moma in New York, and London's Design Museum attest to the standing of the Dieter Rams designs for Braun. Perhaps more importantly, in a modern context, elements of chief designer Dieter Rams’ design principles have been a major influence on Apple’s chief designer Jonathan Ive whose passion for “simplicity” and “honest design” is always declared whenever he is interviewed. Condition report: Very good physical condition. The piece needs work. I am no audio expert but my tech opened it up and mentioned it was fixable but for the right person. Some of the buttons do not work. The knob on the far left needs repair. As is condition. 7/10 condition rating.
