Iconic and rare set of 8 teak Danish mid-century modern dining chairs by Niels Møller for J.L. Møller. This is surely one of the most classic designs you'll ever see come out of Denmark. so much of this design sets it apart from the rest. From the perfectly executed joinery that connects the teak backrest to the rear legs to the unique arms of the #55 chair. It all creates a expressive, sculptural form. The curve in the backrest allows for tons of comfort. The teak is gorgeous and has nice active grain patterns throughout. The seats are made from woven paper cord which proved to be a worthy alternative to fabric. This set includes two more difficult to find #55 armchairs. This classic Danish design was one of the most popular chairs to come out of Denmark and for good reason. They would make a great addition to any modern dining or home environment. Condition report: Neat mint condition. All papercord intact throughout. We believe it was re-reoped at some point. All seats in fantastic condition. A few small wood issues. One repair to one chair back. Minimal wear to a few of the legs. All chairs are structurally solid. 9/10 condition rating.
