This is the ultra-rare GE77 daybed by Hans Wegner for Getama. The daybed has trundle which allows the piece to turn into a double bed when the back bolster is inserted into the trundle space. Teak and painted wood frame; the back of the piece is grey. The upholstered backrest lifts and the bed pulls out to provide a roomy twin bed when needed. The daybed comes with a built in cotton canvas cover sheet that can be pulled out when you are ready to sleep. Crafted in Teak wood, this bench was hand built at Getama's factory in Gedsted, Denmark. These classic Danish pieces never last long and they rarely come up for sale in this condition. Plays well in nearly any space and is extremely functional. We are lucky to carry 2 of these matching pieces. The listing price is for a single daybed but both can be purchased if needed. Condition report: Near mint condition. Structurally sound. Fabric was re-upholstered in the recent past. The wood frame shows little to no wear.
