Description
Falaka Armide created folkloric illustrations of rural life, but also depicted biblical figures, historical kings and magical roles. Yimer's works are defined by notions of nation, history and especially movement across the Ethiopian diaspora. Yimer rejects the traditional iconic images of Coptic art, instead suggesting themes of exile and reunion, departure and return, separation, dispersal and cohesion in the inevitability of survival. This unique piece portrays a tribal style with bright colors and abstract subject matter. Unique and well executed. We include FREE SHIPPING in the listing price. Some exceptions apply, so please read the full shipping details below.
