Description
Pair of the Eames plastic chair series, the abbreviated Eames DSR Chair stands for Dining (D) height, Side (S) chair, on Rod (R) base. The eye-catching design was part of the first series of side chairs developed from 1951 and due to its fabulous construction would soon be labelled the 'Eiffel' chair, for it's resemblance to the famous Parisian tower. The base design was a narrower adaptation of its sister arm chair, the Eames DAR which had earlier been developed in 1950 with the initial release of the first fiberglass Arm chairs. This is a pair of Ochre DSR Side Chair. The Eiffel base is missing the original plastic feet but we will include replacements. The shells set holds a bright original color and solid original finish. This is a great shell set. You can see the light Herman Miller logo beneath each. There are no other markings on the piece. We include FREE SHIPPING in the listing price. Some exceptions apply, so please read the full shipping details below.
Condition report: Very good condition overall. Bright color within the fiberglass shell. No major wear to the shell or to the frame. Minimal rust in frame. Missing original feet for the Eiffel base but we will include replacements. 9/10 otherwise.
