Very Rare solid teak drop-leaf dining / console table designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen. Produced by France & Son in Denmark. This particular example was retailed by John Stuart. Each leaf lifts and each leg is locked into place when the piece needs to be expanded. Outstanding example of an Iconic danish design. Extremely high quality and made 100% out of solid teak lumber. The top surface is planked with solid teak wood. The legs are joined together with unique brass hardware. The piece is marked beneath by the maker as well as the retailer. Condition report: Near mint condition. Top surface have been fully restored and the leg base has been applied with a new coat of oil. Both France and son + John Stuart medallions below to prove authenticity. expands and closes with ease. one spot about 10% darker on the top surface, otherwise time capsule condition.
